No woodland mansion generated

I used Vindicator Insignia to locate a woodland mansion, and it lead me quite far from 12000-12000 X-Z coordinates (14609, 13906). I really am not fond of structures being this far from spawn (btw why not make it spawn at least 2000 x-y from spawn? And the Ancient City too), but when the structure is missing - is even worse.
The Insignia shows that mansion should be spawned in Thaumcraft Magical Forest biome. Maybe that's the case - the biome was forest, and then it was replaced by Magical Forest?

A woodland mansion was generated successfully in -13972 -13198.
Also, Vindicator Insignia doesn't work in coordinates before ~12k x-y. It just disappears. Crimson Eye and Echo Eye DO work in any coordinates, starting from spawn.

Mansions do not start generating before the x and z axis both have a magnitude of 12k or greater and only in forest type biomes. If it cannot find one close enough the item will do nothing on right click.

If you are on a preexisting world, I do not know how accurate the finders will be as if you removed/added any mods it could mess up the biome placement which could be why it is not working as intended. Try creating a new world and teleporting to 12k 12k and see where the item leads to.

I need the seed and coordinates to see what is going on with the vindicator insignia...

The world is freshly created. The coordinates, to where the Insignia pointed are 14609, 13906. The seed is -1068722651.

The item does nothing before 12000, 12000, but it disappears from inventory. Floating Islands generate after 12000-12000 too, but Crimson Eye works just fine at 0, 0.

I tried that seed out with Thaumcraft and the Mansion is generating normally for me. If the vindicator eye on right click is being used but you are not seeing it in world, your game is likely lagging. I am not familar with most of those thaumcraft addons so no idea if they add new biomes to the overworld or not.

I do not see anything out of the ordinary with the mods but I am guessing one of performance mods are skipping the structure due to cascading world gen or a weird intraction with one of the mods that add new biomes to the overworld. No idea why optfine or fastcraft would do so but maybe you have another few in there? Try messing with your mods by removing them until you find the one causing it. Compare the issues with that same world. Try installing the alreadydecoratingfix mod as well

alreadydecoratingfix did help! I don't understand the problem, and I cant uninstall Thaumcraft (literally, the modpack wouldn't work without it), but the problem was fixed by this fix.

BTW, why are these structures so far from spawn?

The mansion is a large structure that takes up multiple chunks. When it generates it also generates those chunks it is apart of even if the player is not close enough to view/load those chunks which causes a chain reaction of dozens of other nearby chunks to load if they also have something else in that bleeds into another nearby chunk like flora, ore generation or another structure, hence the term cascading world gen. These chunks get loaded out of control causing the game to freeze/crash/ or have a massive lag spike. Many performance mods have little things built in to stop this chain reaction which greatly helps performance in large modpacks but the fix is setting whatever is trying to be placed to be skipped or partially placed... Not sure what exactly the alreadydecoratingfix mod does differently but probably lets the structure or flora be placed by the one mod and makes it skip the other flora or whatnot for another mod so it does not have that runaway forced chunk loading.

It is not Thaumcraft's fault exactly as cascading world gen is a major issue with 90% of the mods for 1.7.10 that add anything new to world generation. Only a handful of mods do not have this issue. With the way I generate structures it is impossible to not have this occur at times with large structures but the way I generate ores and flora is the same as vanilla does it which is why if a massive/large structure is not loading the world gen is generally smooth.

I forced the mansion and other large structures to generate far from spawn so players cannot just accidentally find one early game skipping much of the early game; food collection, shelter, etc. It is also a performance thing for servers due to slowing the game down when they generate or freeze it briefly when an ancient city generates. Ancient Cities are closer but it is far more unlikely you will just stumble upon one exploring early/mid game.
