What is the intended way to change screen brightness?

Seems like ddcutil isn't installed. Is there any other way to change screen brightness or do I have to layer the former?

According to their documentation you can build it yourself.

On Aeon /etc and /usr/local are both writable, so in theory it's possible to install ddcutil without layering but we won't know till its tried.

You'll likely have to build it inside a Distrobox container and transfer everything to it's correct place on the base system.

I'm back on bluefin now after having weird gnome shell crashes in Aeon (which, funnily enough, was what drove me away from bfin in the first place, but they seem to be fixed there now)
