[feature request] Is it possible to toggle the standard features of this mod, such as fading out particles?

This mod is great. It feels like it further improves the atmosphere of Minecraft.
I especially like the settings in the mod options, such as the trailer-like torches.
The particles gradually become transparent, but this can sometimes leave too many particles behind, or when using shaders, it can get dark and not work properly, so I'd be happy if you could turn on and off settings like this that are automatically enabled when you install the mod.

When I install this mod, all particles are automatically faded out, but is it possible to create a setting to turn this off?

The settings for "Trailer Torches" and others are great, so I would like to use only these functions.
