Figure 3.4.7 has subimages that are too narrow

Figure 3.4.7 (see https://opentext.uleth.ca/apex-calculus/sec_concavity.html) has 2 columns and 4 subfigures, showing the 4 variations of incr/decr, concave up/down. I think the subfigures are too narrow as the captions have awkward line breaks. This is especially true in the print version, though IMO also true of the HTML.

I've tried adjusting some of the parameters in LaTeX (not PreTeXt) to widen the columns. The image below shows an improvement, I think, for the first row, where the second row shows the original caption width size. (This is only an improvement; it isn't necessarily what I think is the "right" width size.)

What do others think? Can the width be increased without harmful effects to the web version?

Right now this is authored with width="20% 20%" margins="15%"
I'm not sure why the width is set so small; my only guess is that someone (maybe past me?) thought that the images seemed too big.

I don't think there's an easy way to have smaller images and leave more room for captions but I can look into that.
What are the widths you used on top? It would be easy enough to switch to 30% width.

If only I had saved what I did...
I edited the LaTeX and it wasn't clear to me what the various parameters I was adjusting did. These changes were also lost each time I re-ran pretext to adjust the image placements elsewhere. So, in short, I don't know what width I used.
I can try using the 30% myself. I'm out this week but will likely be back in the office early/mid next week. I didn't because I didn't want to confuse a Commit/Branch with image placements that were easy to sign-off on with other issues that were more substantial.

I tried using 35% width, and got the following. (This is in HTML, but LaTeX should be similar.)

At 30% it fits a bit better with the surrounding text, but the captions don't wrap as nicely:

I really like the 35% better. Which do you prefer? Obviously, I don't see how it interacts with the other text. Is the cost/benefit of good captions worth the other issue?

I think 35% is fine. Feel free to add that change in your next pull request if I don't get to it sooner
