Figure 3.4.7 (see https://opentext.uleth.ca/apex-calculus/sec_concavity.html) has 2 columns and 4 subfigures, showing the 4 variations of incr/decr, concave up/down. I think the subfigures are too narrow as the captions have awkward line breaks. This is especially true in the print version, though IMO also true of the HTML.
I've tried adjusting some of the parameters in LaTeX (not PreTeXt) to widen the columns. The image below shows an improvement, I think, for the first row, where the second row shows the original caption width size. (This is only an improvement; it isn't necessarily what I think is the "right" width size.)
What do others think? Can the width be increased without harmful effects to the web version?
