While going through the installation documentation as a new contributor, I noticed that the steps are technically correct but assume prior knowledge (for example, familiarity with virtual environments).

Additionally, after completing the installation, there is no clear guidance on what users should do next to verify or start using the tool.

Suggestion:

• Briefly explain what a virtual environment is and why it is recommended
• Add a short "What to do after installation" section
• Optionally include a minimal first-run example or reference.

Thanks for your feedback/suggestions. Here is my opinion on it:

• We have to assume prior knowledge. Explaining every little piece is not possible for practical reasons alone. There are many public resources on virtual environments, so explaining it here again is redundant. However, we could definitely add links to public resources to make it easier to follow. In general, reflecting on what prior knowledge is necessary to use the WRT and clearly document this is important.
• The documentation is indeed missing a "Getting started" or "Running the tool" section. The documentation of how to run the tool is somewhat included in the "Configuration" section, however, it's not the best place and might be a bit overwhelming.
• We have a little sandbox linked in the README for a first minimal example.

Hi, thanks for pointing this out @MartinPontius

I ran into the same problem while setting up the project locally (Windows + pip + venv),
and I’d be happy to help improve the README with a clear local Quick Start section
based on my setup experience.

This PR documents a recommended pip version for WeatherRoutingTool
to avoid installation issues with PEP 517 based dependencies.
