Potential improvements to BOM and printer for speed and accel improvements #4
Description
After watching the vid, I began looking at potential improvements. Mainly by looking at mods for the original V0.
- Firstly it may be feasible to use 4 nema 17s for AWD. I know Siboor has a v0 cnc kit that has a AWD setup. Don't know if there's a printable version.
- Secondly, it might be possible to speed up the Z axis with a weaker motor by using a belted Z axis
- Third, it may be feasible to use a 48V heater cartridge from Luke's Laboratory for more flow, or even the Takodo hotend.
- Fourth, from CNCkitchen's tests, the clone CHTs have slightly better flow than a genuine one.
Can't think of much else right now.
