Cloning multisite sites and losing Distributor connections

I received the following feedback in one of my email conversations with someone who's tested Distributor.

Describe the solution you'd like

We're currently trying to implement Distributor in a large Multisite network to distribute posts from a main site to a multitude of clones. One of the problems we've encountered is that when you clone a site with posts distributed from another site the connections are lost, this little plugin fixes the problem: https://wordpress.org/plugins/mucl-distributor-extension/ Although only if you use this cloning plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/multisite-cloner/
